Dear Valued Clients, Trade Partners, Associates, and Friends,
We are writing today to inform you of another chapter in our company’s growth. Moving forward you may notice that some of our documents will display the name Arch Construction Group. To help explain this change, please allow us to offer a brief look at our company’s history.
Arch Masonry Inc. was founded in August of 2010 with 20 employees. We always did small repair projects. However the core focus of our business was masonry work on new construction projects. Our services varied through a wide range of residential and commercial buildings.
We then expanded our focus to include restoration work, which is prevalent in our region. In the next few years the size and scope of those projects increased enough that we created a division of the company dedicated to restoration. To reflect this growth and additional focus, we changed our name to Arch Masonry & Restoration in 2016 at the recommendation of our peers.
As the company grew we decided to offer our existing customers more services on current projects. To enable us to provide these resources to clients we expanded our offerings to include concrete work. In 2018 we acquired the assets of a local concrete company to help expedite this process and maintain the quality our clients have come to expect. Concrete was a natural fit and complement to the masonry work that we were already performing on new construction projects.
The concrete division of the company rapidly grew, and we felt another name change was needed. We began using the name Arch Masonry & Concrete in addition to Arch Masonry & Restoration. We decided to run two logos under the one company to better communicate who we are and what we do.
We have been using both names on documents and projects, depending on which division was actively engaged on a project. Both logos have the same color scheme and image, but the names reflect the focus of the project at hand. The Arch Masonry & Concrete name and logo is predominantly used for all new construction crews. The Arch Masonry & Restoration name and logo is used for all the restoration crews, but is also featured in most of our marketing and all company documents.
As we are now changing our software program, we need to choose a single name and logo as the header for all documents. This development led to our decision to use the name Arch Construction Group. This name will represent the collective group, the umbrella over both Arch Masonry & Restoration and Arch Masonry & Concrete. It will only appear on forms produced from our software, and on documents that bridge the gap between both divisions, such as safety manuals. All marketing, vehicles, and apparel will use both separate logos as appropriate.
Another consideration for this change is that another division of the company is on the horizon. Our restoration crews do a large volume of caulking and several new construction clients have asked us to complete this work on their projects. Because we are installing the footers and block foundations, many clients are also asking us to include the waterproofing of these foundations in our scope of work. Naturally we are glad to provide these services, and as we continue to do so we must give serious consideration to bringing on specific staff for this work.
As we continue to grow, our focus remains on bringing value to our clients and creating opportunities for our team members. Please feel free to offer your feedback and let us know how we can better serve your needs.
Sincerely,
Arch Construction Group
